Impal: Manipur unit of the BJP on Sunday joined
hands with the main regional political party Manipur People`s
Party (MPP) to fight the forthcoming assembly polls on January
28.
A spokesman of the MPP said his party joined hands with
the MPP to defeat the Congress-led government.
BJP national spokesperson Prakash Javedkar and north-east
election in-charge Chanderasekhar Rao, who are camping in the
state, said it was now time to bring down the "corrupt"
government of Congress-led secular progressive front ministry
in the state.
"The BJP Manipur unit and MPP desired to work together
and fight the Congress government to bring a government which
would devote to the development, welfare and communal
integrity of the state," said Javedkar.
