Guwahati: BJP will highlight the
growing infiltration problem in the north eastern regiion
during its national executive meeting scheduled to be held
here from January eight.
"Infiltration will be the main issue and we will
trying to take it to the national level," party`s Assam
in-charge Vijay Goel told reporters here.
He announced that an agitation would be launched from
December 18 with `Jail Bharo` stir to highlight the major
problems confronting the state including sealing of the
Indo-Bangla border, updating of the National Registrar of
Citizen (NRC) and corruption.
More than 400 BJP workers including its president and
chief ministers of various states would attend the two-day
meet, first time here, Goel said.
The meeting would increase the morale of the BJP grass
root workers and prepare them for the assembly election
scheduled next year, he said.
