Aizawl: Bru militants are intimidating
refugees lodged in Tripura relief camps and trying to derail
the repatriation process, Mizoram Home Minister R Lalzirliana
alleged Tuesday.
"There are some Bru militants who are intimidating and
threatening good citizens and also indulging in illegal
activities," he said.
Lalzirliana said the state police force was prepared
to take firm action against these militants.
Altogether, 101 Bru families have returned to Mizoram
from the relief camps at Kanchanpur Sub-Division in North
Tripura district since November 3, braving strong opposition
from anti-repatriation organizations, he said.
