Itanagar: A case has been registered against Parliamentary Secretary Kumar Wai, Tourism Director A K Singh and former Tourism Secretary Amar Nath for allegedly making illegal appointments in the tourism department of the Arunachal Pradesh government, official sources said here on Saturday.

Vigilance unit of the state police's Special Investigation Cell (SIC) registered the case yesterday after an FIR was filed by All Arunachal Pradesh RTI Activists' Organization in this regard a few days back.

The organization accused the three of misusing their official power in making illegal appointments in the tourism department in 2009.

The SIC has deputed DSP R Monpa to investigate the case, the sources added.
