Central interlocutor arrives in Nagaland

 Centre's interlocutor for Naga peace talks RN Ravi arrived here this evening for discussions with all sections of Naga civil societies and MLAs on the Naga political problem.

Kohima: Centre's interlocutor for Naga peace talks RN Ravi arrived here this evening for discussions with all sections of Naga civil societies and MLAs on the Naga political problem.

Ravi's visit assumes significance as this is his maiden visit to the state after the Centre and NSCN(IM) signed the Framework Agreement on August 3 in New Delhi.

The Interlocutor is scheduled to hold separate closed door meeting with Naga Hoho and Naga Students' Federation tonight, officials said.

Tomorrow Ravi would hold closed door meetings starting from 8.30 am with Eastern Nagaland Students' Federation, Eastern Nagaland Women Organisation, Eastern Nagaland Peoples Organisation and Naga Mothers' Association.

In the evening he would meet Forum for Naga Reconciliation, Nagaland Baptist Church Council and Nagaland Gaon Burahs Federation, they said.

Ravi would be meeting the Nagaland MLAs before leaving for Delhi on Friday, they added.
