Court orders release of two arrested US nationals

Gangtok: A court in Sikkim has ordered the
release of two US nationals, who were arrested by Sikkim
police for entering the state without valid travel documents.

The court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Monday ordered
the release of Eric Reed and Brad Sanders on bail.

The duo had paraglided from Nepal into Sikkim on March
14. They were arrested by police from Uttarey in West Sikkim
district on the border with Nepal for having entered the state
without valid travel documents.

However, DIG (Range) N Sridhar Rao informed that the
bail condition require them to remain in Sikkim until the
completion of the investigation and submission of the
charge sheet.
