Agartala: Opposition Congress in Tripura on Tuesday alleged CPI-M, the ruling party in the state, is indulging in post poll violence.

"The ruling party (CPI-M) is indulging in violence and creating an atmosphere of terror," Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Sudip Roy Burman told reporters here.

He alleged many opposition leaders were injured or their houses burnt by CPI(M) workers.

Roy also claimed his party along with its alliance partners - Indigenous Nationalist Party of Tripura (INPT) and National Congress of Tripura (NCT) - "would form the next government in the state with comfortable majority".

The state poll was held on February 14 and the counting of votes for the 60-member Assembly is on February 28.
