Elaborate security in Aizawl for President`s visit

Aizawl: Elaborate security arrangements
have been made here for the two-day visit of President
Pratibha Patil from tomorrow, officials said today.

Additional forces, both armed and unarmed police, have
been deployed for Patil`s visit and no parking orders issued
for the main road of Aizawl to facilitate free passage for the
President`s carcade, district SP Lalbiakthanga Khiangte said.

Security has been beefed up in and around Aizawl city
especially near Raj Bhavan and the Mizoram University, he
said.

Patil would attend a public reception at Raj Bhavan
tomorrow and would meet members of the council of ministers.

The President, who is also the visitor of the Mizoram
University, would attend its convocation on Friday.
