Five Myanmar nationals arrested in Manipur

Five Myanmar nationals have been arrested from a village in Manipur`s interior Chandel district for not having valid travel documents, police said on Saturday.

arrested from a village in Manipur`s interior Chandel district
for not having valid travel documents, police said on Saturday.

Assam Rifles personnel during a search at a village in
Chandel district yesterday arrested the five.

The arrested persons have been identified as Mozel Amir
Khan (31), Majud Ahmed (25), Jabud Ahemad (23), M D Rafi (25)
and M D Tahir (26), the police said.

All of them hailed from Chaktou village in Arakan area of
Myanmar.

They were later handed over to Myanmar immigration
officials posted near Manipur`s border town of Moreh last
evening, the police added.
