Morigaon: Flash floods today rendered
homeless scores of people in this central Assam district,
forcing them to take shelter in safer areas, officials said.
The Brahmaputra submerged at least three villages
consisting of 100 families in the three villages - Jyotimari,
Kacharigaon and Bagarimari.
A large number of people were rendered homeless and
taking shelter in higher areas, they said.
The district administration has started relief
operations for the flood affected people.
