Girl, man shot dead in Assam

Guwahati: A three-year-old girl and an
man were shot dead today by unidentified gunmen in Tinsukia
and Kokrajhar districts of Assam respectively, police said.

A group of unidentified men attacked the house of
Milan Khairi and opened fire, killing his daughter Jalala and
injuring his wife Sukurmani at Kakopathar in Tinsukia
district.

She is being treated for bullet injuries in a local
hospital.

In another incident, Munna Brahma (34) was called out
of his house and shot dead by unidentified men at Thuribari in
Kokrajhar district, police said.
