Gogoi recovering well, likely to be shifted to a ward

Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, who underwent a bypass surgery in Mumbai last week, is showing signs of quick recovery and is likely to be shifted from the ICU to a ward.

showing signs of quick recovery and is likely to be shifted
from the ICU to a ward.

"The chief minister is showing quick recovery and is
responding very well to the treatment," an official release
said here today.

A team of doctors led by renowned cardio thoracic
surgeon Dr Ramakanta Panda conducted the operation at the
Asian Heart Institute in Mumbai.

"Today is the sixth day of the chief minister`s stay
in the ICU and he is under monitoring of doctors and nurses,"
the release said.

According to the latest updates from the doctors, he
is eating a normal diet and his vital organs are stable.

"He has been mobilised and is able to sit and walk and
according to the doctors, the chief minister is fit to be
shifted to the wards," the release said.
