Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi Thursday wished speedy recovery to the state Governor J B Patnaik who sustained multiple fractures following a fall at Dibrugarh on Monday.
The Chief Minister called up the Governor, who is currently undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi and inquired about his health, an official release said.
The Governor is likely to undergo a surgery tomorrow
following the injuries received in his leg and his vital
parameters were being closely monitored as he suffers from diabetes and hypertension.
Patnaik slipped and fell in the toilet of Dibrugarh
Circuit House on November 8 and was admitted to Assam Medical
College Hospital from where he was shifted to AIIMS, New Delhi
the next day by a special aircraft for further investigation
and treatment.
