Jail custody of three ULFA leaders extended

Three senior ULFA leaders, handed over to India by Bangladesh early this month, were produced in a court here which extended their judicial custody by 14 days.

over to India by Bangladesh early this month, were on Friday
produced in a court here which extended their judicial custody
by 14 days.

Pranjit Saikia, Antu Soudang and Pradip Chetia were
produced before the chief judicial court which extended their
jail custody.

Bangladeshi security forces had handed over the three
front ranking ULFA leaders to the BSF at Dawki in Mehgalaya on
February 5. Later Assam police took their custody.

The ULFA leaders were in charge of the weaponry division
of the proscribed outfit, official sources said.
