Shillong: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister
Dorjee Khandu Wednesday played down reported Chinese incursions,
saying the relationship between the two countries were
`friendly`.

"There is absolutely no problem on the borders. The
relations with China have been friendly. The situation along
the borders is peaceful," Khandu told reporters here.
Asked about recent reports of incursion by the Chinese
military, Khandu, whose state shares about 12,000 km of border
with that country said, "Unknowingly troops of one country
tend to trespass into the other?s territory. There is no
intrusion as such. The Centre is well aware of the
developments."
His statement came a day after former Defence Minister
Mulayam Singh Yadav claimed that China could attack India
`soon` and the threat needed to be taken seriously against the
backdrop of the 1962 invasion.
