Guwahati: The body of Karbi People's Liberation Tigers (KPLT) Commander-in-Chief Blain Hanse, killed allegedly by an outfit member, was on Monday found in a remote area of Assam's Karbi Anglong district, official sources said.
Hanse's body was found buried in the remote Tarapung area under Chokihola police station of the district.
He was shot dead on May two in a camp inside the forest allegedly by an unidentified member of the militant outfit, the sources said.
Hanse's body was later buried inside the jungle and police launched a search operation in the area to trace him after locals informed them about the incident.
Earlier, the outfit's Chairman Nilip Ingti was killed in a joint operation by the army and police on April 19 last.
