New Delhi: The government today said CPI
(Maoists) were trying to forge links with insurgent groups in
the north east.
"The CPI (Maoists) have been noticed trying to forge
links with Indian insurgent groups of north eastern outfits,"
Minister of State for Home Mullapally Ramachandran said in a
written reply in Rajya Sabha.
In a seperate reply, Minister of State for Home
Gurudas Kamat said that air assets were deployed based on
requirement and their availability.
"At present, nine helicopters have been provided to
support security forces deployed in Left-wing extremism
affected states," he said.
