New Delhi: Hishey Lachungpa of Sikkim
Democratic Front (SDF) today formally took oath as a member
of the Rajya Sabha.
As soon the House met, Ansari administered the oath
to Lachungpa.
The Chairman also announced the acceptance of the
resignation of Samajwadi Party leader Rashid Masood, who had
parted ways with Mualyam Singh Yadav's party and joined
Congress before the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
Ansari said Masood has sent his resignation letter to
Rajya Sabha, which is accepted with effect from March 9.
