Mild intensity quake hits Northeast

An earthquake shook measuring 4.8 on the richter scale shooked most parts of the North-East this morning.

Shillong: An earthquake, measuring 4.8 on the richter scale, shooked most parts of the North-East Sunday morning.

The earthquake occurred at 7.10 am and lasted around 10 seconds, according to the Regional Seismological Centre here.

The epicentre of the quake was Manipur-Tamenglong-Assam border, it said.

Official sources said there was no report of any loss of
life or property.
