Militants continue attacks on Congmen

militants in poll-bound Manipur continued on Saturday with three
bombs and grenades were targetted at them in two districts,
but none was injured.
Unidentified militants exploded a grenade at the gate
of the residence of a Congress worker Hemanta in Imphal West
distrct at about 6 pm, but he escaped unhurt, official sources
Two bombs were exploded in Wangu Sadangkhong area in
Thoubal district at around 6.30 pm. Here too nobody was hurt,
the sources said.
As soon as the election date was announced, seven
major insurgent outfits had issued threat that they would
attack Congress candidates and workers for opposing their "cause".
Manipur goes to poll on January 28.
