Aizawl: Mizoram government on Monday threatened to fire muster roll workers who participate in the rally scheduled to be organised in Aizawl tomorrow, the first day of the budget session of the state legislature.

Officials said that the government had already issued an order in this regard and warned that it would not only 'no work no pay' as in the case of those who were absent from work, but anyone who participates in the rally would lost his or her job.

The Joint Action Committee of the three trade unions in the state have been launching agitation demanding implementation of the Minimum Wages notified in 2009.

Meanwhile, four of the seven trade union joint action committee leaders, who began indefinite hunger strike from March 14 were admitted to the Civil Hospital here on Saturday while two others were hospitalised on Friday.
