Mizoram Assembly session to begin on March 17

Aizawl: Mizoram Governor Dr Aziz Qureshi has summoned the Budget session of the Mizoram Assembly from March 17, state assembly secretariat sources today said.

Detailed programme of the session would be chalked out in a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) chaired by Speaker Hiphei.

Though the BAC was yet to meet, Qureshi would deliver his customary gubernatorial address as the session would be the first for the current year.

State Finance Minister Lalsawta would present the annual budget during the session though it was yet to be decided whether he would present a regular budget for 2015-16 or an interim budget and seek a vote-on-account for the first four months of the next fiscal.
