Aizawl: Mizoram Chief Minister Lal
Thanhawla on Wednesday said that he was yet to decide on whether to accept the resignation of Education Minister Lalsawta.
Lal Thanhawla told a press conference that he was yet
to arrive at a decision as two of his senior cabinet
colleagues were out of station.
He also said that he has referred the matter to the
Congress leadership in Delhi.
Lalsawta had tendered his resignation to the chief
minister yesterday owning responsibility for mistakes in the
results of technical entrance tests.
Regarding the controversy surrounding the declaration
of incorrect results of the technical entrance, he said that
the answer papers would be re-evaluated again for the second
time and an inquiry was ordered into the publication of a
28-paged brochure which was sold to the aspirants at Rs 400.
More than 1,500 candidates appeared in the technical
entrance tests to fill the state quota in technical studies in
the technical institutions all over the country.
