Kohima: NSCN (I-M) general secretary Thuingaleng Muivah has said that despite the Manipur government`s decision to prevent his entry into the state to avoid any `breach` of communal harmony, he will go ahead with his planned visit.

"I would visit my native village Somdal in Ukhrul district and other Naga inhabited areas of Manipur," Muivah told reporters yesterday.

He asserted that it was his birthright to visit his hometown and the question of Manipur government preventing his entry into the state does not arise.

"I am not a subject to them (Manipur government), and there is nothing unnatural about the proposed visit," the NSCN (I-M) leader said adding the Centre had been considerate with regard to his proposed visit to his village.
"As a human being there is lot of emotions attached to the place wherein one was born and brought up," Muivah said.

As per his itinerary, Muivah is expected to depart for Ukhrul tomorrow from NSCN(I-M) headquarters Camp Hebron and stay at his village till May 7.
He will visit Ukhrul town on May 8 and return to Somdal to celebrate Mother`s Day. On May 10, he is scheduled to visit the nearby Senapati district before returning to
Dimapur.
