Kohima: In a major crackdown against militants, 14 cadre of Assam-based National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) have been apprehended from two places in
Nagaland.

Police said acting on a tip off, 10 newly-recruited cadre of NDFB were arrested yesterday in Mon district while they were entering the state through Tizit inter-state check gate in wee hours.

All of them were forwarded to judicial custody and they were believed to be on their way to training camps in bordering Myanmar.

After receiving information from Mon police about a hideout in a residential colony at Dimapur, the city police yesterday arrested another four NDFB activists who were part
of the same group, police said.

Of late, many cadre of NDFB anti-talk faction, including woman activists, had been arrested at Guwahati and Sonitpur district. During interrogation they revealed that
they came over to Dimapur either to procure small arms or run extortion racket.
