Itanagar: The NCP today criticized
the Dorjee Khandu-led Congress government for appointing many
advisors to Chief Minister at the cost of state exchequer.

Terming it as "anti-people" the party said that
appointment of advisors being done "so frequently", making the
office of the advisor to CM "a laughing stock" by incurring
additional financial burden to the state exchequer.

"Such anti-people initiatives appear more to be
politically motivated to rehabilitate the disgruntled elements
with the Congress party," NCP Arunachal Pradesh unit vice
president Tad Tana alleged.

He said "our party would have welcomed the appointment
of advisors to CM if it would have been done on the basis of
experience, expertise and specialization of the individuals in
specific field with whose contribution to the state and its
people would have directly benefited."

Demanding immediate halt to such appointment-spree in the
larger interest of the people of the state, the NCP urged the
chief minister to clarify and make public - how many advisors
have so far been appointed, the reasons and the criteria of
appointment, as well as the requisite annual budget.
