Kohima: In a major haul of drugs, the police Special Branch seized 3 kg of high grade opium from a Manipuri couple here late last night.
P Thomas and his wife Kainia of Purul village in Manipur's Senapati district were caught with the drugs from a hotel in the town during a surprise check by the police, police sources said today.
Also seized was Rs 18,500 in cash and their mobile phones.
