Aizawl: A married couple was killed and another person injured in an accident when the MUV they were travelling in rolled 200 feet down to a gorge at Sihphir village, about 20 kilometres north of Aizawl, early Friday.
The police said that the car was coming from Silchar towards Aizawl.
A woman Lawmkimi was killed on the spot while her husband, known only as Sapaia, succumbed to his injuries while being taken to a hospital in nearby Durtlang.
Another woman passenger, who suffered serious injury, managed to climb up to the road, the police said.
She was admitted to the Civil Hospital here.
