Noted Gandhian Ravindra Bhai dies

Guwahati: Noted Gandhian and social
worker Ravindra Bhai died here on Monday in a city nursing home
due to old-age ailments, hospital sources said.

He was 84 and is survived by wife.

Ravindra Bhai came to Assam on Mahatma Gandhi`s
direction and set up an ashram at Kumarikata in Baksa district
bordering Bhutan.

He was associated in promoting socio-economic
upliftment of the poor and weaker sections of the society in
the districts of lower Assam.
