One shot dead by gunmen in Manipur

Imphal: A 36-year-old man was shot dead by gunmen at an interior village in Manipur`s Churachandpur district, delayed official reports said Tuesday.

Lin Khotingthang Haokip was gunned down at Songdo village, about 70 Kms south of here, on Sunday night. Although Songdo is a part of Churachandpur district,
it falls under Moirang police station of neighbouring Bishenpur district, the reports said.
The body was handed over to his family after post-mortem.
The motive behind the killing was not yet known
