New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh
on Saturday spoke to Arunachal Governor J J Singh and enquired about
Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu after a helicopter carrying him
and four others went missing.
Soon after his return from Bundelkhand in Uttar
Pradesh where he attended a rally, the Prime Minister was
briefed by National Security Advisor Shiv Shankar Menon about
the search operations being carried out on either side of
India-Bhutan border.
The Prime Minister has spoken to the Arunachal Pradesh
Governor and enquired about the Chief Minister, Prime
Minister`s Media Advisor Harish Khare said.
A helicopter carrying Khandu and four others went
missing this morning shortly after take-off from Tawang,
giving rise to apprehensions about their fate with search
operations yielding no results so far.
