Guwahati: The three ULFA leaders handed over
by Bangladesh to India have been remanded to ten days police
custody by a Kamrup court on Sunday.

The three ULFA leaders - Antu Choudang, Pradip Chetia
and Pranjit Saikia - were handed over by Bangladesh
authorities to Border Security Force at Dawki along
Indo-Bangladesh border in Meghalaya yesterday. They were
brought here last night and were produced during the day
before Chief Judicial Magistrate Robin Phukan who remanded
them to police custody.

Choudang is the third senior-most leader after the
outfit`s commander-in-chief Paresh Barua and Jibon Moran who
were still at large.

Choudang told reporters outside the court that the trio
would abide by the decision of ULFA central executive leaders
to hold unconditional talks with the Centre to resolve the
long-standing conflict.
