Aizawl: A rally was on Friday organised in Mizoram in support of Anna Hazare's movement where the participants underscored the need for 'Jan Lokpal Bill'.
People converged in front of the Millennium Centre, the largest shopping mall in the state capital, with speakers having proclaimed their support to the cause.
"All the people, including those holding highest public offices, should be within the ambit of the Lokpal," former IPS officer F Lalremsiama said.
Vanlalruata, president of the anti-corruption watchdog - the People's Right to Information and Development Implementing Society of Mizoram (PRISM), said, "We would hold a consultation meeting with other anti-corruption activist groups in Aizawl tomorrow to deliberate on our future course of action."
Today's rally was organised by 11 anti-corruption bodies including PRISM, Society for Social Action (SOSA) and youth groups from across the state.
The activists, under the aegis of 'Mizoram Against Corruption', organised a rally yesterday as well.
