Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Monday presented a Rs 293.44 crore deficit budget for fiscal 2012-13 beginning April 1.
The budget envisages a growth rate of 12.5 percent and also lays stress on the education, health and agriculture sectors.
It also proposes 21 new polytechnics in the state and a film archive to be named after late music maestro Bhupen Hazarika.
