Sixteen insurgents surrender in Manipur

At least 16 insurgents belonging to different outfits on Tuesday laid down arms before Manipur DG of Police Y Joy Kumar, official sources said.

Director General of Police Y Joy Kumar, official sources said.

The insurgents who laid down arms, included three from
United National Liberation Front (UNLF), two from People`s
Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) and Kangleipak
Communist Party (KCP) Noyon group.

The ultras laid down six rifles, two M1-6 rifles,
two bombs, three pistols of 9mm and several rounds of
ammunition.
