Itanagar: To end the ongoing political
turmoil in Arunachal Pradesh over the change of leadership in
the state, Chief Minister Jarbom Gamlin and dissident leader
Nabam Tuki on Saturday authorised Congress chief Sonia Gandhi to
take the final call on the issue.
"In view of the political turmoil in the state, both
Tuki and Gamlin authorised Sonia Gandhi in writing to decide
on the change of leadership issue," AICC General Secretary and
in-charge of Arunachal Pradesh Dhaniram Shandil told PTI from
New Delhi.
While Gandhi summoned Gamlin to New Delhi yesterday,
APCC President Tuki has been camping in the national capital
for the past few months along with other ministers and MLAs to
pressurise the Congress leadership for a change in the
leadership in the state.
Many Nyishi organisations in the state also demanded
Gamlin`s resignation over his alleged failure to improve the
the law and order situation.
