Barnala on Thursday condoled the death of Arunachal Pradesh Chief
Minister Dorjee Khandu in a helicopter crash, saying his
demise was a ''great loss'' to the country and his native
state in particular.
''Dorjee Khandu was a dynamic and beloved leader of the
people of Arunachal Pradesh who had strived for the growth and
development of the people and the state. His death is a great
loss to nation and to the people of Arunachal Pradesh in
particular,'' he said in a release here.
Barnala said he was ''deeply shocked and grieved to hear
about the sad demise'' of Khandu, killed in a chopper crash in
Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh, and expressed his
condolences to the bereaved family members and to the people
of Arunachal Pradesh.
