Tripura govt gives Rs 25 lakh for Sikkim quake

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar expressed his deep sorrow and solidarity in a letter to his Sikkim counterpart Madan Singh Chamling.

Agartala: Tripura government has donated Rs
25 lakh to the Chief Minister`s Relief Fund in Sikkim in view
of the devastating earthquake, official sources said on Sunday.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar yesterday in a letter
to his Sikkim counterpart Madan Singh Chamling expressed his
deep sorrow and sent a cheque of Rs 25 lakh for providing
relief to the people affected by the quake.

Sarkar in his letter said, "The people of Sikkim have
faced a disaster which has caused irrepairable losses to the
lives and property of people. The people of Tripura express
their deep sorrow at the loss."
