Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki on Friday allayed apprehensions over the supra-state body for Nagas that may have serious implications on the territorial integrity of this land-locked state.

Speaking at a function at Khonsa in troubled Tirap district, Tuki clarified that the state government has not received any communication from the Centre on any such move by Union Home Ministry, official sources said.

Union Home minister P Chidambaram on November 19 denied the report that Centre was planning to offer a supra-state body as a solution to the peace talks with NSCN(IM), Tuki said.

Tuki made it clear that his government would oppose tooth and nail in case Centre ever came up with the idea of a supra-state body for the Nagas.
