Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister
Nabam Tuki on Friday allayed apprehensions over the supra-state
body for Nagas that may have serious implications on the
territorial integrity of this land-locked state.
Speaking at a function at Khonsa in troubled Tirap
district, Tuki clarified that the state government has not
received any communication from the Centre on any such move by
Union Home Ministry, official sources said.
Union Home minister P Chidambaram on November 19 denied
the report that Centre was planning to offer a supra-state
body as a solution to the peace talks with NSCN(IM), Tuki
Tuki made it clear that his government would oppose tooth
and nail in case Centre ever came up with the idea of a
supra-state body for the Nagas.
