Imphal: Two persons including a
non-Manipuri labourer were injured when a powerful bomb
exploded at Uripok area in Manipur`s Imphal West district
on Thursday, official sources said.
The bomb planted by suspected militants in a shop
exploded at around 2:30 pm injuring the two and destroying a
Maruti van parked nearby, the sources said.
They said the injured persons identified as Upendra
Kumar from Sitamari village in Bihar and L. Kaoba of
Langthabal area in Imphal West district admitted to the
Regional Institute of Medical Hospital and Sciences.
No individiul or group has claimed responsibility.
