Already a general alert has been sounded in the capital a day ahead of the US President arriving in the city where he will stay till Tuesday morning.

Sources said they were leaving nothing to chance and have strengthened surveillance on the banks of Yamuna river.

Obama is slated to visit Humayun's Tomb tomorrow while he will offer his tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat on Monday. Both the localities are near the river banks.

Sources also said they are also keeping a tight vigil on the flyovers near Humayun Tomb and Rajghat to ensure that no untoward incident take place during Obama's programmes.
