Berhampur (Orissa): The BJP on Saturday accused
the ruling BJD of having a secret alliance with the Congress
at the national level casting aspersion on the UPA`s
`prolonged silence` on the alleged law and order breakdown in
Orissa.

"We have to think on this line because Patnaik never
opens his mouth against Congress President Sonia Gandhi while
the UPA government also does not interfere in the state
affairs, despite the worsening of the law and order
situation," BJP national Secretary Santosh Gangwar said here
while inaugurating party`s two-day state executive meeting.
Union Home Minister P Chidambaram’s recent statement
praising the state government`s handling of the recent hostage
crisis was clear indication that the ruling BJD in the state
has a secret link with the Congress at the national level,
another senior leader said.

The BJP Secretary also criticised the BJD government
over the halt of anti-maoist operation.

"The last time I was in Orissa, I came to know the
state government was indulging in coal and mining scams. Now
the government is entangled in the dal scam for which one head
of a minister has aready rolled," he said.

Similarly the UPA-II at the Centre was also in
neckdeep corruption like scams in telecom, Commonwealth Games,
he said claiming there was no difference between UPA at the
Center and BJD government at the state.
The party at its executive meeting would chalk out
plans on how to reach in every village and "to expose the
corruption" of the UPA government at Center and the BJD
government in the state, he said.

The dal scam, coal scams, law and order situation as
well as the suicide of the farmers in different places due to
crop damage due to untimely rain and the government?s inaction
in compensating them would be discussed in the two-day
meet, BJP state President Jual Oram said.
