BSF seizes 250 kg explosives in Orissa

About 250 kg explosives, suspected to be smuggled to Naxals, were on Wednesday recovered by BSF in a village in Orissa`s Koraput district, officials said here.

Bhubaneswar: About 250 kg explosives,
suspected to be smuggled to Naxals, were on Wednesday recovered by
BSF in a village in Orissa`s Koraput district, officials said
here.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Special Operation Group of
Border Security Force found the high-quality explosives packed
in 40 packets from the village.

"The search operation is on and we are questioning people
in this regard," a BSF official said.

Many districts of Orissa are affected by Naxalism and
central paramilitary force personnel are carrying out
anti-Maoists operations in the state.
