AICC Odisha in-charge Jagdish Tytler today met as many as 60 Block Presidents of the party of undivided Cuttack district here to chalk out strategy for the forthcoming civic polls.

Tytler along with Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) chief Niranjan Patnaik and AICC secretary Mirza Irshad Baig met each of the Block Presidents individually and it was learnt that the senior Congress leaders discussed about the names of prospective candidates for the municipal elections scheduled in September this year.

Addressing the Block Presidents of Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur districts at party?s Cuttack city office and Block chiefs of Jajpur and Kendrapara districts in party?s rural office, Tytler urged the party cadres to work sincerely at grassroots level to oust the BJD from power.

Expressing satisfaction over the party?s recent performances in three civic body polls, Tytler told the party workers that it is a golden opportunity to oust the BJD from power in the state as the people are now disgusted with the misrule of the regional party.
