The body was then taken in a procession and last rites performed on the bank of Langulia river here where the body was cremated.

The cremation had been put on hold after his two sons tried to prevent the funeral and filed a brief complaint last night at Rayagada police station suspecting that their father was killed by somebody, police said.

Based on the complaint, Rayagada police sought a report about the death of the tribal leader at Bhubaneswar hospital and decided that a post-mortem would be performed.
