Eight killed in road accidents in Orissa

Four persons were killed when a jeep in which they were travelling hit a truck parked near the road at Rosapada near Deogarh this morning, they said.
The jeep was on its way to Deogarh from Bhadrak when the accident took place, they said adding the five injured were admitted to a hospital at Deogarh and two were shifted to VSS Medical College Hospital at Burla.
The deceased were identified as Prashant Nayak (35), Dhabaleswar Nayak (40), Harihar Bhoj (35) and Gopal Chandra (55), they said.
In another accident, a couple died and another personwas injured when a car in which they were travelling collided with a truck near Tangi in Khurda district, police said, adding the injured was admitted to a hospital.
In a similar incident, two persons were killed and two others injured when their car hit a truck on NH-42 near Dhenkanal, they added.
