Rourkela: The grandson of an 80-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the double murder of the woman and her grand daughter in Madhusudan Marg are of the city.
The grandson, Jagapal (21) alias Rushi was arrested yesterday.
Dispute over family property was the cause of the murder, the police said.
Eighty-year-old Harbans Kaur used to live in a double storied building with two daughters-in-law and their children after the death of her two sons.
Harbans and her nine-year-old grand daughter were found dead in a pool of blood with their neck slit on Saturday last.
The weapons used in the crime were yet to be seized.
