New Delhi: Odisha would receive heavy rainfall for the next 24 hours in the wake of cyclonic storm Phailin, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said Sunday.
"Odisha will receive heavy rainfall for the next 24 hours due to the cyclonic winds moving north," said IMD director IMD LK Rathore.
"The cyclonic winds are now blowing at the speed of 100 to 110 km per hours in the states of Odisha and Chattisgarh. However, the speed is expected to come down to 60-62 km per hour by Sunday evening," he added.
