Lawyers boycott courts in west Orissa

Court proceedings in all the 11 districts of west Orissa has been affected with lawyers boycotting work to press for their long-pending demand of establishment of a High Court bench in western part of the state.

boycotting work to press for their long-pending demand of
establishment of a High Court bench in western part of the
state.

The lawyers had been boycotting the court proceeding
and preventing the judges from working on the last three
working days of the month for several years.

In Sambalpur, lawyers even blocked the path of revenue
officer and other officials on the main street at Mandala.

At Rourkela, the president of the Rourkela Bar
Association, Ramesh Bal has announced that their agitation
would intensify and they will try to associate all section of
people in the movement.
