district early today, police sources said.

Over 50 armed cadres set off explosives in the godown
blowing off its roof and walls, the sources said.

The Maoists also put up two posters asking the
government not to brand innocent `Bonda` tribals as Maoists
and withdraw security personnel deployed against the ultras.

"We have information that the grampanchayat godown at
Mudulipada has been damaged by an explsion. Police forces have
rushed to the spot, IIC of Mudulipada police station, Rajesh
Kumr Chhatria said.

Maoists had been eyeing the godown ostensibly to stop
it from being used as accommodation for security personnel
engaged in anti-Maoist operations.

Mudulipada and Andrahal are two grampanchayats in
Malkangiri district where the primitive `Bonda` tribe dwells.
